Approach and Specialties
I use a collaborative approach with clients. You are the expert on your own life and I will work with you to determine relevant goals - keeping in mind that just as life is ever-changing, your goals in counseling may shift. I cultivate a safe space where clients are free to express their innermost thoughts and feelings at the pace they are comfortable, welcoming constructive feedback from my clients throughout the therapeutic process to ensure that I am best serving you. I utilize techniques from a variety of different modalities including Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure, Insight-Oriented Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I center my work around the importance of the therapeutic relationship, creating a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental space for clients to work through difficulties
